Urban Encounter Mission trips are a different kind of mission experience. We believe that before God can work through us in the mission field, He has to work in us. It is our desire for you to have a fresh encounter with the power and presence of Jesus Christ through prayer. Come and discover how to impact your community in a very new and different way!
God Bless You!

Urban Encounter is a ministry of Crossroads Compassionate Ministries, an outreach of Crossroads Tabernacle, designed to coordinate Urban ministries in the inner city of Ft. Worth, Texas. UE is under the leadership of Rev. Corey Jones and the people at Crossroads Tabernacle. The dream for UE grew out of a desperate desire to reach out and show God’s love to children and their families in low-income housing and government projects.
In the summer of 1999, the first youth groups were called and began urban mission trips in the city. In the summer of 2001, 12 youth groups, with over 400 teens from 6 different states came to participate in Urban Encounter. In 2003, A team from Crossroads Tabernacle organized the inner city children’s projects for the Nazarene Youth Conference in Houston, Texas with over 400 teens. Crossroads Compassionate Ministries continues to host many youth groups each summer and gives them opportunities to have life changing experiences!
